"The HUM"

The Kokomo Hum, or "The Hum", has been reported with varying degrees of evidences since 1973. Clusters of people, each exhibiting signs of sensitivity - some extreme and nearly violent - appear to be experiencing what might be called a group hallucination. More people than not do NOT hear it... but some appear to be haunted by - The Hum.

Fear it, believe it, or don't. That's on you. Truth is often stranger than fiction.

AVL Designs, an acoustical consultancy and designer of Audio, Video and Lighting systems, was never intended to be the Ghostbuster or chase "phenomena" of unusual kinds. Alas, numerous requests have been made for our acoustical research skills to be applied to haunting hums, tones, screeches, and in one case - ghosts frying chicken in an attic while singing. You really can't make this stuff up. We found no ghosts. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, however.

Mad cows and hums run concurrently in this paired article. Are aliens baking cow genes and growing super cows on earth? We won't likely know for decades. When the cow pictured here was alive it was well before mass documentation of audio phenomena was likely, and measurement would have been impossible.
